Micayla Hupp is the Human Resources and Office Manager at SW Resources. She worked as an intern for four months and has been working in her current position for five months. She handles payroll, insurance, and other HR issues. Micayla says she enjoys the culture of SW Resources and that everyone is focused on serving and helping others. Social skills are very important in this line of work, as well proficient computer skills and a knowledge of HR matters. She also has a background in psychology that she says is helpful. Matt Whalen works in Production and in the Warehouse at SW Resources where he has worked for over a year now. Matt has a special interest in accounting and numbers since attending college in the field of Accounting. Fortunately, his job allows him to crunch numbers, keep inventory and keep up with daily paperwork. He will joke that he doesn't like the paperwork, but his coworkers think it's his favorite part. Tommy Miller is a Warehouse Lead at SW Resources. He has been working with us for over six years and has helped with orders from a variety of different companies including Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Amazon. He likes that his job maintains a steady balance between keeping busy but in a laid-back atmosphere. While it’s crucial to be able to read and write, he says the most important skill is that he’s good with numbers. There is also a great deal of patience involved in his job. During the busy season, he has to distribute 96 goods a day.

Meet our SW Family Day #8
For the past three years, Forrest Ash has been a mosaic artist at the Marble Tree Division of SW Resources. After picking a subject, he makes it fit an 11"x14" mat. Then he starts picking colors from repurposed magazines to match the subject and applies those to the mat. But his favorite part of this process is the final product. Patience and a steady hand are very important to this process. He says that each mosaic he does is a little bit better than the last one. He says his job is humbling because no matter how upset he is when he comes to work, he leaves in a much better mood. Amber Tuttle has been an engraver with SW Graphics for 29 years. She engraves a variety of different things, including signs, plaques, and name tags. She enjoys working with people on different projects. Amber is now a highly-skilled hand engraver, which takes a lot of patience and dexterity.
